Dr. Marie Homa-Palladino, a long-time local resident, received her undergraduate degree in biology from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA in 1989.  She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA.  Dr. Homa-Palladino completed her externships at The Veterans Administration Hospital in Philadelphia, the William Feinbloom Center for Vision Rehabilitation and Pediatrics at The Eye Institute, Philadelphia, PA.

Early in her career, Dr. Homa-Palladino practiced in the Exton area with Chester County Eye Care Associates providing comprehensive and contact lens care.  She moved to New Jersey with her family for her husband’s work and practiced in Flemington doing specialty contact lens, pre-op and post-op cataract and refractive surgery care.  It was during this time that she co-authored a paper “Treatment of periocular capillary hemangiomas,”presented at the 2002 annual meeting of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Seattle, Washington, March 20−24, 2002.

The family moved to Connecticut where Dr. Homa-Palladino worked with several optometrists and world renown Ophthalmologists, including Nauman A. Chaudhry, MD, vitreo-retinal surgeon and Dr. George Shafronov, MD former Chief of Glaucoma Services at Yale University.

She decided all the wonderful experiences and knowledge collected would be best served in her community back home in PA.  Marie now lives in Paoli with her husband, Mike and 2 daughters, Jessica and Valerie. In her spare time she likes to practice yoga and travel with her family.
